YRC recruits Soup Mixologist
The British Touring Car Championship season is unique in that it crosses three seasons starting in spring and finishing in autumn. As the days draw in, we’re reintroducing piping hot soup to the YRC Dome hospitality menu for the last two rounds of the season.
It may not be ground-breaking news to many but our garlic tomato soup was so popular in the early part of the season that requests came from members to have ‘take-home’ flasks! As the summer came in, the soups made way for chilled bevies and we debated long and hard about whether to take the off the menu until it got cooler again. See – we can make news out of anything!
So now it’s back – garlic tomato soup-in-a-cup will be available to YRC Dome hospitality guests from Brands Hatch as well as new flavours created just for the BTCC fans. And these aren’t just any soups – developed by a renowned local Milton Keynes Soup Mixologist, the YRC crew are getting a chance to taste some options early on Friday morning before heading to Rockingham to build the YRC Dome for the weekend’s activities.
Hannah says “apart from the racing, food is definitely the most important part of our weekends! We’re up for suggestions for the soups and I’m personally really looking forward to having them back on the menu. If anyone’s got any requests please get in touch”.
The YRC Dome is now confirmed for appearances at Rockingham (this weekend), Brands Hatch (1st and 2nd October) and the British Touring Car Championship season finale at Silverstone (15th and 16th October). All race comers are welcome and prices starting at £35 include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and some treats throughout the day.
